The White House has detained silence after a new report claims advisers to President Donald Trump has discussed offering New York City Mayor Eric Adams a position in the Trump administration in the hope that it would Hurtle Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s election odds.
Trump Advisors reportedly had a discussion with Adams’ associated companies to dip out of the race and potentially move on to the Trump administration to pave the way to train Gov. Andrew Cuomo to secure a win in the November election, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
It is still unclear whether specific positions have been spoken for Adams or whether Adams would be inclined to accept such an offer, the report says.
The White House did not respond to a request for how from Fox News Digital.

Mamdani is a Ugandan-born Muslim and Democratic Socialist who won the Democratic Party’s primary for New York City mayor in June. Meanwhile, Cuomo is a moderate Democrat who actually runs in the race as an independent after losing to Mamdani in the Democratic primary race in June.
Adams’ campaign said the mayor has not had discussions with Trump about the matter.
“Mayor Adams has made it clear that he will not answer every rumor coming up,” said Todd Shapiro, a spokesman for Adams’ campaign, in a Wednesday Stément. “He will remain focused, not being distracted and grinding for New Yorkers.”

“He has not had any discussions with and has also not brought President Donald Trump, who looks at the mayor’s race,” Shapiro said. “The mayor is fully obliged to win this election, with millions of New Yorkers preparing to cast their votes. His record is the key: Crime is down, jobs are up and he has consisted of working families. Mayor Adams is focused on those years to continue delivering to the people of New York.”
Trump has historically raised against Mamdani and has tied New Yorkers against voting for the New York State Assembly from Queens.
“No. 1, you have a communist running and you have to vote for him,” Trump said during a July meeting. “He’s disaster. He leads. He has the democratic agreement that shows that the Democrats have gone.”
“I don’t get involved, but I can tell you this: I used to say that we won’t be any socialist country. Right. Well, I want to say it again. We don’t want it – if a communist is chosen to run New York, it can do the same.”
