In my dream house-I mentally designer, while I wait in line in the grocery store there is a custom, built-in nugget icem machine for all my cold drinks. It is a non-convertible feature in my fantasy kitchen, because if you know me, you know that my ice cream is real.
Meanwhile, I have a much more affordable, realistic and honestly brilliant alternative to the Multi-Thouse Dollar apparatus in Sog: Dollar Tree’s Surefresh Honeycomb Ice Cube hills. For only $ 1.25 they are the cheaper way to make my cooled drink dreams come true and I am so obsessed that I bought four.

Why i love the dollar tree’s Surefresh Honeycomb Ice Cube Bakays
Yes, I still love my countertop ice cream maker. However, I also have several other special ice cube trays so I can make additional ice cream in the shapes and flavors I want. Especially the Hexagon form is a fun and aesthetically appealing way to raise ice coffee, sparkling water, lemonade, cocktails or any other drink you want to see or feel a little more special.
Plus, to $ 1.25 each, they are undeniably affordable compared to a nugget machine.
I hate fighting with the stiff plastic trays, driving them under hot water and wing them until I felt my fingers were frostbite. But with these I let them sit on the counter for a few minutes so the edges melt a little. Then I simply bend the silicone tray to blow out the dice.
I love to make large portions of this ice cream and store it in a container so I can have nugged — ice cream as needed. I started an endless nugget system where I fill four hills at once. When frozen, I dump the dice in a freezer-safe container with a lid, then I fill the empty hills immediately and repeat the process. This way I always have my special ice cream ready to go without waiting for another batch to freeze. I know I’m quirky but all I can say is that life is really better with good ice cream!
In addition to just freezing of water, I imagine using these trays to freeze juices, lemonade or berries and herbal trees, making my drinks both beautiful and flavorful as they melt. I also like freezing remaining coffee so that my iced coffee is not watered down and this dice form would be ideal for this purpose.
These cute little ice cubes have really smoothed my daily drink joy. And even though I have to make the ice cream myself, it makes me feel like I live in my dream house – if it’s only a moment.
