Skype Room Chat – Jan 30th, 2013

January 30th is today’s post.  Mostly quiet today, I think everyone is in a “wait” mode right now, so not much was being talked about.  We will see rhetoric from the likes of OCrush.

Note:  I highlighted all of MarcG’s comments in “Green“.

[Adam Montana] ok now that I’ve hopefully got my worst typo of the day out of the way, here’s the current state of the Dinar

[Adam Montana] this is unfortunately one of those weeks where we have to suck it up and accept the fact that “no news is good news”. Nothing significant or earth-shattering has been announced, and you all know I don’t make stuff up if there’s nothing to report… so at least for now Continue reading

Hurry Up and Wait — Current Situation with the RV + Analysis by MrIQD

UPDATE: July 2, 2012 –  Hello hello!  Well, as we said in this original post, we would not be surprised if Maliki would figure out a way to drag this out to early or mid July or beyond.  And, here we are now in to early July!

Are we “happy” it has not RV’d yet – heck NO, we would LOVE for it to have happened already by now!  We must remember that it won’t happen just because some hack guru says it will – this is a major event which depends on many small events to happen first!

Do we feel we are “close” – yes, based on the events that are reported in legitimate Iraqi news sources, as well as legitimate International news services like Reuters, Wall Street Journal and others.

Are we willing to buy a “reserve” based on our feelings – absolutely NO!!!  We don’t feel purchasing a “reserve” is ever a good idea.  If you feel you want more IQD, that is for only you to decide when you are ready, just keep in mind that we recommend you just purchase only what you can afford, if any at all!  🙂

The important thing we wish for you to remember is to stay away from hack gurus and their garbage of calling the RV every other week…

Well, in fact, as our new Category segment “This Day In RV History” illustrates bluntly, we feature hack gurus and THEIR WORDS, calling the RV…. But, a full YEAR AGO!!!  So, PLEASE TAKE A STAND, AND PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING THEM, DON’T GO TO THEIR WEBSITES, DON’T CLICK THEIR BANNER ADS, DON’T BUY THEIR CRAP!!!

UPDATE: June 25, 2012 –  Continue reading

Sadr refuses to comment on the withdrawal of confidence from al-Maliki with the deadline set! + Analysis by MrIQD

Happy Thursday Friends,
Well, the news has been really “quite” for the “news” we really are looking for.  Don’t get us wrong, there is plenty of stuff out there, but most of it is recycled or no better than what we were getting in yesterday.
So, the point being, we are not ignoring you, we are just not trying to flood you with tons of news that you can get on other sites, we want to find the gems and comment on only those few, like this article.  🙂
What we read in to this article, is basically Sadr is the kingpin of this whole movement, he is not saying anything to the meeting about his deadline because there must have been a last minute proposal of compromise by Maliki.
Probably what is happening is he is keeping quiet to the media on purpose to let the political blocks consider Maliki’s proposal of compromise.
It is our assumption that in the interest of Iraq and their Constitution, it would be best for Maliki to stay!  Only because it would mean that he agreed to the Erbil power sharing agreement and the Ministers are seated.
As frustrating as all this is for all of us, we believe that the fastest way to seeing the release the RV would be for Maliki to agree to Erbil and move forward with the power sharing agreements, HCL etc.
Well, we’ve chewed our fingernails down nearly to the bone, this waiting and anticipation is certainly stressing all of us out, but as we have always believed… “It is much better to have patience, rather than become a (mental) Patient!”  LOL!!!

Rejection of the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, on Thursday, to comment on the question about the withdrawal of confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki with the deadline set by him, and when he said he did not receive a response from the National Alliance on his message so far, he noted that the decision whether or not to stick to demands will be determined during the next few hours.

He said Moqtada al-Sadr during a joint press conference held today in Najaf with the leader of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmad Chalabi, said that “We have not received a response better and for worse on our message to the National Alliance until the yen,” asserting that he expected “to complete the period granted to him during the next few hours and then will answer you. ”

Sadr refused to reply to a question on the subject of withdrawal of confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, after the deadline set by him, which ends Thursday.

For his part, said the National Congress leader Ahmad Chalabi during the conference, “The meeting with Moqtada al-Sadr take the general situation in Iraq and the current political crisis and the way forward in promoting democracy and discuss the status of the region.”

The deadline of 15 days set by the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in the letter sent by the leader of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, said Thursday (17 May 2012), to begin implementation of decisions of the meeting of five leaders in Arbil, which was held the 28 of last April, and included a focus the importance of the national meeting and the need to adhere to its decisions that come out, and commitment to the Constitution which defines the form of the state and the relationship of the three powers and the independence of the judiciary and the nomination of the names of the security ministries, to be ratified by the House of Representatives during the week that there was a sincere and serious by al-Maliki.

Sadr al-Maliki to clarify his position: I want his life and wants to kill me!!! + Analysis by MrIQD

in short from the difficulty of this translation, we have best determined that Sadr is saying that Maliki threatens him and the Sadderist movement and the welfare of millions of Iraqis!!!

Sadr is saying that even though him and Maliki have been long-time friends, he cannot let Maliki continue!
