Reason Bloodhound Tantrum Has Internet in Hysterics: ‘Acting Sassy’

A dog owner from Oklahoma shared a video of his bloodhound throwing a tantrum on TikTok, and the reason behind it has left users across the platform in stitches.

The viral video, shared in August under the username @bonniethebloodhound, shows puppy Bonnie barking and howling at her owner, refusing to stop unless she agrees to let her have what she wants. “Bonnie is acting naughty [because] she can’t get to the trash can (we play),” reads a caption shared with the post.

As much as it may anger them, keeping your dog away from the litter box should be a rule in every household. This is because some of the foods that we like and eat without problems, including a few fruits and vegetables, can be very dangerous for our puppies.

An article published by Web MD, medically reviewed by Dr. Poonam Sachdev, says that food and drink such as alcohol, xylitol, chocolate, cookies and most things with sugar can be very dangerous for dogs, so they should always be kept out of their way.

But even foods that seem harmless can cause harm. For example, foods such as grapes, raisins, onions and garlic, among other fruits and vegetables, are highly toxic to dogs and should be avoided at all costs.

So you might be wondering if we can even share any of our food with our puppies? Dr. Jerry Klein, chief veterinarian at the American Kennel Club in Chicago, Illinois, said earlier Newsweek that there are some human foods we can share with our dogs, in moderation.

These include blueberries, carrots, cheese, green beans, boiled eggs, cooked chicken or turkey (without spices, skin or bones) and cooked fish such as salmon, sardines and mackerel (without bones, spices or garlic).

The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far garnered over 457,000 views and more than 115,000 likes on the platform.

One user, Ash Jack, commented: “I thought I was the only one who got this out of my bloodhound…”

Ian wrote: “It’s like having a sibling dudeee, I love bothering the dogs.”

Oscar242424 added: “Me and my bloodhound fought over my pizza last night.”
