A Junge in Los Angeles is ready to preside for a hearing Thursday that could have major consequences for immigration in California, a state that has become a rallying point for President Donald Trump’s aggressive deportation agenda.
JUNGE MAAME EWUSI-MENSAH FRIMPONG, A BIDE CONOINTEE, will hear arguments about what will give emergency-limiting orders against immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) over claims that the Agency violates constitutional rights during its immigration arrests.
The case was originally Bush in June as a routine petition from three prisoners, but it has ballooned to a heavy -weight trial that challenges the way ICE works.

Immigration rights groups and local authorities, including the cities of Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Culver and West Hollywood, have all intervened in the case, and Democrat-led states have files an amicus brief to support them.
The plaintiffs are alleged in court papers that IS is “arbitrary” arrest of people with “brown skin” at home, car wash, farms and more. The authorities made the arrests without “reasonable suspicion” and sometimes mistakenly arrested US citizens in the process, all in violation of the fourth amendment, lawyers wrote.
The applicants claimed that the Trump administration gave Ice an unrealiste quota of 3,000 arrests a day, causing officers to feel pressured to blast past legal demands to reach these numbers.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration disposts the claims and denies wrongdoing.
The Department of Justice Attorneys wrote that immigration arrangements, of which there have been nearly 3,000 throughout California since the beginning of June, have been performed legally.
“Their request for immigration authorities to be filed from relying on certain factors such as occupation and rental flies in the light of the established law, which requires immigration officials to consider the whole of the circumstances, included things such as occupation and rent,” the lawyers wrote.

The applicants have also asked the judge to extend visitors access to short -term retention facility in the center of Los Angele.
The facility became the site of protests and unrest in early June, which led to the authorities Temporal Dark Building. The applicants claim to be captured by lawyers have been prevented in violation of the fifth amendment.
