World leaders respond to the murder of Charlie Kirk

World leaders responded on Wednesday to the news that conservative media personality and co -founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, 31, a man and father of two, were killed during a talking event at Utah Valley University.

President Donald Trump confirmed in a social media post that Kirk, who was hospitalized after being shot and suffering from a throat wound, had been killed.

Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was among some of the first to share Hora on the news on social media and said, “Charlie Kirk was dampened to speak truth and defend freedom.

“A lion-hearted friend of Israel, he continued the lies and stood high for the Judeo Christian civilization,” he added, noting that he was talking to Kirk just two weeks ago and invited him to Israel.

“Unfortunately this visit is not taking place. We lost an incredible human being,” Netanyahu added. “His unlimited pride in America and his brave belief in freedom of expression will leave a lasting impact. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.”

Italy

Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also offered her condolès and said at X that she was “shocked by the news of killing Charlie Kirk.”

“A cruel murder, a deep wound to democracy and for those who believe in freedom,” she said. “My condolences to his family, his dear and to the American conservative society.”

Argentina

President of Argentina Javier Milei shared a picture of herself with Kirk and Form Conservative Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz with his condolnces to Kirk’s family “and to all the young people in the world who were admired him and listened to him.”

“A formidable dissemination of the ideas of freedom and Stauunch defender of the West,” Milei said before calling him “the victim of a cruel murder” and accused “Left”, though the law enforcement officials have not confirmed who shot Kirk.

“The whole world lost an incredible human being,” he added.

Britain

British Prime Minister Keir Stormmer also expressed his condolences and criticized all forms of political violence in the post of X and noted that “Thoughts this event are with the loved ones of Charlie Kirk.”

“It’s heartbreaking that a young family has been deprived of a father and a man,” he added. “We must all be free to debate openly and freely without fear – there may be justification for political violence.”

There were several messages about screaming from leadership throughout the UK, includes from the leader of Reform UK, Nigel Farage, who also shared a picture of himself with Kirk and said, “This is a very dark day for American democracy.”

“I’m desperately sad for Charlie, his wife and children,” he added.

New Zealand

New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Winston Peters also decided the emergence of political violence and the threat it poses to democracy.

“It is tragic that we are now living in a world that DefeEN’s meaning is set with a gun,” he said at X, noting that Kirk’s death is not only “political violence,” but “an assault.”

“The complete tragedy is that Kirk traveled a lot around university campuses to give an open microphone and debate to everyone – and everyone was welcome,” Peters said. “The essence of democracy is threatened around the world and we have to do everything we can to protect it.”
