Those involved in the Russian arms deal are pointing the finger at Maliki’s cronies

The parliamentary committee investigating the Russian arms deal asked to investigate Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki after being a name connected as on of the officials involved during the course of the investigation during the past few days The committee declined to disclose his name as the investigation is ongoing with officials and officers involved who were summoned to the investigated recently concluding the trading of the name of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
The source added that members of the investigative committee discussed calling Maliki in to clarify some of the circumstances which stated that he was apart of a deal Russian arms, and pointed out that the deputy Izzat Shabandar and Ali al-Dabbagh told the Special Committee that the Prime Minister knew of suspicions of corruption in the deal prior to traveling to Russia.
The source indicated that the Special Committee has proposed assigning the leader of the Dawa Party MP Hassan Sinead to brief the Prime Minister and ask him questions regarding the investigation and his response. He pointed to the adoption of the proposal last spoken two deputies of the Integrity Commission, and two deputies of the Commission of Inquiry, accompanied by Sinead to meet with Maliki and the opening minutes of the official investigation into his office inside the Prime Minister. He explained that the Special Committee requested the Chairman of the Commission on Security and Defense parliamentary MP Hassan Sinead will tell Maliki the possibility that questions could be submitted through an official letter to the received by the President of the Government.
