The meeting was initially scheduled to occur when he was in Turkey, last Friday, by the Qatari minister to Ankara but the meeting was postponed due to preoccupation with the Friends of Syria Conference and his meetings Syrian rebels to support the fall of the Assad government.
It is expected that the meeting will be this weekend in Ankara or Amman, according to information close to the minister Attiyah’s office , the meeting will be to see interest in Faleh al-Fayad getting commitments to lead the management of the Iraqi government post-Maliki.
The leaders of the Kurdistan Alliance Iraqi List and some in the ruling party, National Alliance, have agreed to take over Fayad as the next Prime Minister of the Iraqi government, in the event of renewed effort to withdraw confidence from the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, or in the next electoral phase. It is expected that Kurdistan’s Barzani and Moqtada al-Sadr will be in contact expressing their support for Fayad as the next Prime Minister.
