Iraqi efforts to recover Shabibi the help of the International Monetary Fund and INTERPOL

Announced the parliamentary committee charged with investigating dealings CBI Iraq sought to recover former central bank governor Sinan al-Shabibi the help of the International Monetary Fund and the International Police (INTERPOL).

Committee member said MP Haitham Alajabua that the delegation of the International Monetary Fund is currently in Baghdad will contribute to accelerate the recovery Shabibi in the event of his conviction corruption files in the auction sale of the currency. He stressed that “the delegation of the International Monetary Fund is currently seen on some facts about the transactions CBI currency auction sale, and began to be convinced corruption files in currency auction sale.”

Jubouri said that “convinced the International Monetary Fund with corruption in the case files will help Iraq to quickly restore former central bank governor through the International Police (Interpol) on the grounds that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) international institution.”

Iraq denied intervention of the International Monetary Fund in the investigation file of the Central Bank. The Iraqi judiciary has issued an arrest warrant against Central Bank Governor Shabibi and a number of officials and employees of the bank against the backdrop of suspicions of corruption in the auction currency. Revealed committee was formed to investigate the case that the sum of money that had been smuggled out of Iraq through currency auction since 2004 amounted to $ 200 billion.
