Good evening Folks,
It looks like Maliki is losing his firm grip on Iraq and Baghdad!!! As evidenced by this delay of holding a trial agains Hashemi who waged several accusations against Maliki which may be playing out to be “truthful”!!!
Based on the other news about the Political Blocks, including Maliki’s own Political Party wanting to vote him out, this Kangaroo Court (of Maliki’s) against Hashemi is most interesting news for sure! Lets hope it is a good indicator of GREAT things to come!

The trial of Iraq’s fugitive vice-president, Tareq al-Hashemi, accused of running death squads, has been postponed after defence lawyers yesterday argued it should be held in a special court.
The leading Sunni Muslim politician fled Baghdad in December when the Shi’ite-led government issued a warrant for his arrest. He denies all charges and says they are politically motivated.
Now in Istanbul, he has refused to stand trial in Baghdad, saying Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki controls the courts.
Hashemi’s son-in-law, Ahmed Ahmed Kahtan, and 73 of his bodyguards have also been charged. No defendant was in court.
